Normally, I wouldn't be concerned about spring training. This year is a little different though. I think Rich Harden's spring is very alarming. I don't have the stats in front of me, but I don't think he had one quality start. I don't think Colby Lewis is going to be the pitcher he was in Japan. He MAY survive in the 5th spot in the rotation, but I see Holland coming back up sometime in May. Although Neftali had a solid outing a couple of days ago against Colorado, he had a very poor spring. Not only don't we have a decent 2B to start the season, (I guess one could argue Andres Blanco) but the backup utility role seems to be looking worse everyday.

However, it is encouraging to see Josh Hamilton tearing the cover off the ball again and Nelson Cruz as well. Those two will be huge for our lineup. If Chris Davis has a solid year, this offense could score a lot of runs.

The bullpen is questionable at best right now, especially without CJ. And Feldman is the only lock in the rotation. I see 88 wins this year and the Angels taking the division.

I'm ready for the season to get started. The pitching worries me a little but I have faith that Maddux can get the most out of the pitching staff. I was very impressed with the job that he did last year.

I curious to see how Hurdle does as the new batting coach. I wasn't really a fan of Jaramillo. I'm no expert but it seem like he stressed "the big bang". They seemed to live and die by the home run.

I'd like to see Kinsler more consistent at the plate. He was very streaky.

    Josh needs to stay healthy.

Last but not least they definitely need to play Murphy every day.

So it's pretty much in the bag. Kins is going to start the season on the DL. Who plays 2B on opening day?

    It's OPENING DAY!

The power of this thread, even in its nascent state, with its proximity to Arlington, will destroy those damned Canucks!

    Welcome to AMERICA, Blue Jays!

Has to be Arias. He is out of options anyways, so I am curious if they eventually expose him to Wavers when Kinsler comes back.

Blanco is starting at 2nd base I believe. He will be the utility guy going forward. Arias made the club, but it will probably just be until Kinsler can get his ankle right...

Under 30 minutes until first pitch. Anyone stuck at work and needs some updates?
